We have some good news.  We have been given the go ahead from the Town of New Tecumseth to up our capacity limits in the Indoor Turf Field area, affective immediately.  

This means each player may have one spectator (only) come into the Turf field area to spectate their session.

A couple reminders with regards to all of the protocols and changes:

1)  Players and the one spectator will enter the facility at the main front doors (South). Please line up to sign in with the Town of New Tecumseth staff. There will be a Team SSU representative at the front doors to greet you.

2) Only 1 parent/adult to bring the player(s) to the facility each session.

3)  Spectators on the sidelines are asked to social distance, and wear a mask at all times.  

4)  All individuals entering the facility 12 years of age and older are required to show a Vaccine Certificate (2 doses plus 14 days). This includes all players, volunteers, staff, coaches, parents/guardians & spectators entering the facility.

5) The town is phasing in their requirement for youth aged 12-17 such that they must have their first dose by Sep 22^nd and be fully vaccinated by October 31^st in order to participate directly in a sport activity.

6) Please note all those 12 years of age and older entering will need to show your Vaccine Certificate along with a government issued piece of identification each time you enter the facility to the Town of New Tecumseth Staff. Acceptable forms of identification include: Drivers License, Health Card, Passport, Age of Majority Card, & Birth Certificate

7) As they are not permitted to collect and store vaccination information, please exercise patience as they must check and confirm vaccination status on each visit. You will continue to be required to pre-screen for COVID-19 symptoms and contact trace once vaccine information has been verified by the town staff. Please allow yourself enough time to check in prior to your program’s scheduled start time.

8) Players with an organized sport group will be allowed to enter the facility 30 minutes prior to start.  Spectators 15 minutes before.

9) Players, coaches, staff, & spectators will be required to wear masks in the facility as per government regulations. Coaches, staff, and spectators will wear masks throughout the entire session on the field and in the stands, but players if they wish are able to take the masks off once they enter onto the field to start their session. As per government regulations, when exiting the field space, masks must be put back on to exit.

10) Players, staff, coaches and spectators should not attend if feeling ill or have any symptoms.

11)  If a player does not have a parent/guardian who is able to enter the facility due to the vaccine regulations, We will still have SSU staff meet the players at the front entrance, to safely take them down to the Turf Field, work with them during their session and have them exit safely into the parent/guardian’s care at the back (north) exit.
