Outdoor 2021 Competitive Soccer Update
Thank you for your patience as we await updates from the Government and Ontairo Soccer for our Outdoor 2021 soccer season. The league (HDSL) will keep us updated along the way as to when they will make a decision on running. But based on the last Government and Ontario Soccer update, it looks like we will be able to start TRAINING ONLY for our Development and Competitive teams only in Stage 1. This means things will look similar to our start last Outdoor 2020 season on the field, with training of 10 participants per field quadrant with distancing of 2 metres.
At this time we just need to firm things up with the Township with our permits/field rentals and get the fields prepped for us to start. As soon as we have a firm start date we will let you know. But we are hopeful to start Monday June 21st. We will also be extending the Outdoor season into end of September this year. A reminder in Stage 1 we will have no scrimmages, and players spread out doing training. Once we move to Stage 2 we are hopeful this will change, but haven’t been given the exact regulations just yet and we will keep you posted once we hear. Once we are able to, we will put together a game schedule amongst our own Development/Competitive teams and try and keep those scrimmages on the set practice nights already scheduled. We are hopeful this can take place in Stage 2.
With training for teams 2 times per week the schedule will be as follows:
U9-11B- Monday/Wednesday- 7pm
U9-10G- Thursday 7pm/ Sunday 6pm
U12B- Thursday/Sunday- 7pm
U12G- Wednesday 7pm/Sunday 6pm
U13G- Monday/Wednesday- 7pm
U16G- Monday/Wednesday- 7pm
We are also working on the cost for the season running with the above changes. Once the start/end dates are confirmed, I will update you with details.
We encourage players to register (but not pay) for Outdoor. This will help us know who is interested in participating this summer and plan accordingly. Once we know for sure when we can start, we will update the price accordingly and ask for payment at that time.
As a not-for profit club, these tough times have hit us hard over the last little while. Our full time administrator has and will continue to mainly work from home, but on very limited hours per week due to these tough times. We have placed our phone services on hold for now as we are needing to cut down on expenses wherever possible. Please use [email protected] to communicate with us during this difficult time. Please be patient as she goes through all the many inquiries and requests through this time.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this unprecedented time. Stay safe everyone – we look forward to seeing everyone on the pitch very soon!
