2022 Indoor Update
Hello Everyone!
We can’t believe it’s already March. We just got an update from the Town of New Tecumseth regarding the regulations for our Indoor programs. Please see below.
Effective March 1, 2022, the Province of Ontario has entered the next step in its reopening and implemented further easement of COVID-19 public health and workplace safety measures including:
- capacity limits lifted in all indoor public settings
- proof of vaccination requirements lifted, with businesses being allowed to implement them voluntarily
- other protective measures, such as mask/face covering requirements and active/passive screening of patrons, will be in place
- public health units can deploy local and regional responses based on local health indicators
In accordance with Provincial measures and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit requirements, proof of vaccination requirements will no longer be required to enter Town of New Tecumseth recreation facilities.
Other protective measures, such as mask/face covering requirements and passive screening of patrons will remain in place. Visitors of New Tecumseth buildings and recreation facilities are asked to continue to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before visiting a Town facility and to stay home if they are ill.
Thank you,
SSU Board of Directors & Staff
